LOOKING FORWARD TO THE END OF THE DAY!

Today, at 10.45pm ... Mike and Joyce arrive from Palmerston North... we can't wait.  I can't even remember the last time we saw them... far too long obviously.

Until then, we will fill the day with family ....

 ABOVE: I came across this photo on me old camera... it's when Russ and Tess first arrived and we still had Phantom.  So cute, brought back memories of our pups.  I hope they are all doing well in their forever homes.

ABOVE:  if I hadn't been there, Teddy would have growled at her... but I told him to behave.  He does not like the littlies much.

 ABOVE: the smaller three kids are doing well, whereas Griffin in still learning to balance... but he's getting there.

ABOVE:  I can see Joshua skating to school this coming year.

ABOVE:  last one for now... me and Dante last night... he had just been fed.  This kid is a pooping MACHINE!  He poops non stop!  You only have to hold him for a few minutes before he lets rip with a nappy full. 

Right... better go and do something productive... like get out of bed!  lol

ONWARD...

Right... outta bed... it's another cloudy, probably gunna rain days.  *sigh*
It's a bit of a drag when one has visitors and it's wet. 
Russ and Tess and kids were supposed to visit Stew's sister Khady today... but might not be now due to the weather.  They were going to the beach with her.

What else?  Oh ... KAREN... Mike and Joyce will be staying here.  We are going to put them on an airbed in the lounge.  *smiles*
We had originally planned on them staying with Lacy, but we want them here so we can spend maximum time with Mike... we hardly ever see him, so want him here with us.

Russ and Tess and their kids have gone for a  drive to Orewa, and maybe the hot pools at Waiwera today. I told them it wasn't good to sit here all day, they needed to get out and about.  Tess has never been here before, it would be nice if she got to see some of our country. 

So, while they are out, I've got the family left here doing some cleaning... they just love me! lol

No rest for the wicked.  I must be VERY wicked.
Just picked up Keera, we are having her for the night, then taking her to the access visit with her Father tomorrow.  Hoping to get her back to Lacy after lunch tomorrow.  Then I can spend some time with Mike and Joyce.

End of Day:  well it's 9.30 pm, only an hour or so until Stew and I go out to the airport to pick up Mike and Joyce.  So can't wait to see them.

ANOTHER DAY... ANOTHER BATCH OF CUTE BABY PHOTOS...

Sorry... I don't have much new stuff to yabber on about... so it's just gunna have to be more kid/baby photos!

I love that I am making memories for the kids to look back on one day.... via my blog and photos.  I think that is one of the primary reasons why I blog... because it is like an 'OPEN' diary.  Who knows, I might still be blogging in 20 years! 

ONWARD...

Steve and Bex have taken Dante out to the mall for his first outing... they are meeting up with one of Bex's sisters-in-laws.  I took a few photos but they were crap... I had the camera on the wrong setting...

But I did get one semi-decent one:

Once Russ and Tess arrived home, Stew and I went out for lunch, just the two of us.  It was kinda nice... except the eatery was sweltering... I had sweat dripping off me.  Ikkkk.  Very happy to come home again I can tell ya.

End of Day:  well, another day winding down.  Not so hot and sticky today, almost bearable.

BOXING DAY... KIDS GO SHOPPING

Brylee and Griffin were given quite a sum of money for Christmas, so Stew get's the 'pleasure' of taking them shopping today!

I am quite sure he will quietly go mental... but I'd rather he went than me... I've no patience for kids shopping... they can never make up their minds!

So... while they are out, I will get a bit of housework done... boring, but necessary.

 ABOVE:  Now that I keep all me bits 'n' bobs on my computer desk, Teddy can sit on top of the shelving unit in the corner and stare outside, keeping an eye on the neighbourhood.

Tea towels.  Did I mention that our damn Dishdrawers (both of them) have packed it in and died?
Well... they did... and it's not worth getting them repaired (again)... we shall be getting a new dishwasher very soon.

Well... the house is finally quiet!  Everyone has gone out to take advantage of the Boxing Day sales.

 ABOVE:  Something tells me this little girl wants a skateboard!  Me thinks she will have to wait until she's a bit older... *smiles*

ABOVE:  remember when we bought this big pot and Nikua palm?  It was at least 2 years ago... well recently I thought the palm was completely DEAD.  It was all dry and withered... I was SURE it was dead.

Well !  It's NOT!  I am thrilled to say it is finally growing.  These palms hate being moved, so I reckon it just packed a sad for two years... and now it's decided to behave and grow.
I'm so happy... that darn palm cost $200!  And I LOVE Nikua Palms.

I just found out how sensitive me computer's touchscreen is.

VERY SENSITIVE.  I kept getting 'interrupted' and having trouble typing cos the cursor kept jumping all over the place.  Now I know why.
There was a bloody FLY on the screen up in the corner... and it kept moving.  Problem solved... I just fed that fly to me frogs.

The shoppers came home after braving the crowds.  Brylee and Griffin both bought themselves a skateboard and elbow/knee pads.
And a couple of DVD's to watch on their DVD players.

I got me house vacumed, and the floors washed, so I'm happy.

Debs the midwife called in to check on Dante, and he is doing really well.  He's gained 120 grms in 4 days... Bex is clearly a good 'cow'... *smiles*.

End of Day:  well another day done and dusted.  It's been wet and humid today... really draining.  Hopefully tomorrow it will be fine.

WAKE UP ! WAKE UP ! 

IT'S CHRISTMAS

 

I hope everyone wakes up to a joyful day, filled with family and friends and lots of ♥ love ♥... and chocolate.  *smiles*

As you can imagine, it is bound to be busy here for a while this morning... so I shall go now ... and come back much later in the day with lots of photos.

BUT... here's just ONE for now:
