FINGERS CROSSED FOR GOOD NEWS

First thing this morning Lacy has a Doctor's appointment.
Hopefully they will have the results from her Glucose Tolerance Test ... and fingers crossed she does not have Gestational Diabetes.

Also, I'm hoping they can line her up with a good midwife.
Lynn... we were told by her midwife over in Henderson that she needs to be looked after by a hospital based midwife as she has a few 'risk factors' associated with her pregnancy... so it's not a 'straight forward' pregnancy.  Otherwise I certainly would have rung the midwife you went with... she sounded nice.

Oh and this afternoon she has an appointment at WINZ.... what for I'm not sure.  *sigh*

Meanwhile... I am the taxi.

What did I do before I took on Lacy and her problems???

Oh yeah... I lived my life...

ABOVE:  I gave both dogs a jellybean each... they were very confused.  Almost didn't know what to do with them!  Coco got her's stuck on her top teeth...

ABOVE: it took her AGES to eat it!  I shall probably never give them one again though.
Probably not good for them eh?

The mystery of the gap in the flooring is solved... by Steve.  It was not 'missing' a bit, that particular plank had just slipped under the kitchen bench, all he had to do was kinda kick it back to move it back into position again!

He's handy to have around!
OH... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to STEVE, he's 25 today.

***GOOD NEWS!***  Lacy does NOT have Gestational Diabetes..... so LYNN, I rang your midwife and Lacy is now under her care!
Awesome result for the morning.  SORTED.

Now we are off to Botany to put more of her stuff in the storage place and LOCK it... SORTED.

It's now just after 1pm, and I've spent the last 4 hours running Lacy around to Drs, Chemist, Storage facility and finally, Probation office.  And I left her there, she can find her own way back on a goddam bus... I'm DONE.

Feeling very frustrated that by taking her into our home also meant having to run her around all over the bloody country.  Fuck I'm pissed now.

CLEARLY we didn't have much choice, but THAT'S IT, I ain't gunna run her around any more.  DONE.

AND TO TOP IT OFF, I get home and collect MY MAIL from MY LETTERBOX and what's in MY LETTERBOX, at MY HOME?

ABOVE:  Freakin mail for Lacy's EX.... from the courts!  OMFG... he has used OUR address for CYFS and now the GODDAMN COURTS.  What a fucking cheek... I'm gunna ring the courts and let them know in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that he DOES NOT LIVE HERE, never has and never will.
If I wasn't wound up before I got home (but I was) ... I'm even more fucking wound up now.

JODY RAIKA:  if you are reading this tell your brother NOT to list MY address as his or I am gunna do something about it.  Like if there is any more mail for him, it is going straight in the bin.

Too late TRACY:  I already rung the Justice Department and did a nut at the poor woman who answered the phone!  He is no longer listed as LIVING IN MY HOUSE.

Gunna try and chill out now... cos I am so, so angry right now,  I would happily kick him in the balls if he was in front of me right now.

Forgot to say, her WINZ appointment has been deferred to another day, so at least I didn't have to go there too today.

WINZ= Work and Income New Zealand.... where people go to get money if they are unemployed/sick/solo parent/aged... etc. Welfare in other words.

I bought Steve a cake.  No slaving over a hot oven for me today!  If I'd had to bake a cake I think it would have ended up on someone's head.  Just sayin....

Over me hissy fit.
Waiting for Stew to get home from work ... then we are going to pick Steve up from work and go to Carl's Junior for dinner. They make THE BEST burgers in town.... well except for homemade ones, you can never beat a homemade one.

ABOVE: Waiting for our dinner... Steve being a dick!  He had a few drinks at work before we picked him up, so he was a bit 'silly'.

End of Day:  busy, but ended nice.  I will post 'birthday cake' photo tomorrow, this post is already freakin long!
Anne:  Thanks for the lovely chat tonight.
ON TRACK:  hell no!  Birthday dinner and cake!!!!
nite nite.

HOUSTON ... WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

I don't know how it came about, but Stew flipped the family room mat up and this is what he found:

ABOVE:  well bugger!  We are missing a small piece of the flooring!  Goodness knows WHERE that went!

No one is owning up to it either.  Kids or dogs?  Someone knows.  Just not me.

Oh well.. it will have to go into the 'not a priority' box for now.

Today Stew is taking the afternoon off work so he can hire another trailer and take Lacy over to Henderson to meet up with the Housing NZ git who stood them up on Friday, to collect THE LAST of her stuff.
I hope that will be the end of running around finding all her stuff.

Then we can relax and just wait to see how long it's going to take for her to get her own place.  If she's still here when her baby is born... well at least I won't have to worry about her and the baby eh?

Looking for the positives.

Another positive. The kids have not been affected in any way by Lacy being here at all.  They are well adjusted kids ... and Lacy has not gone 'over the top' in how she interacts with them.
She isn't a 'visitor' who pops in and fusses over them for an hour and then leaves any more.  Makes the relationship dynamics quite different.

I am really happy with how well she has fitted in.... she has not trod on anyone's toes at all!
If she does, I'm sure we will stamp it out of her!  lol

AND she has been paying as much as she can to cover the expenses we have incurred collecting all her furniture etc.  I'm quite proud of her for that.  Might just go give her a hug... she probably needs one.

Can't be nice having to leave a toxic relationship when you are pregnant and ending up on your own.  At least she does have us eh?

And before anyone feels the need to say it... yes she has made mistakes over and over again... but if we can give her a second chance (or 3rd or 4th...) well.... just don't knock her.
She is trying to live a better life.

The kids go back to school today too.  This break has been quite long, but as we have been busy, it has flown by.  I might even miss them! Or not.  lol

ONWARD...

JOAN:  good god NO!!!  We will not be taking care of Lacy's baby.  She desperately wanted another child, and is determined to look after her baby herself.   When baby is born, I will help Lacy all I can, but I ain't being left with no new born baby ever again!
Gawd, I shudder at the thought!

MARY :  Ahhh that is so funny!

*** PEPSI UPDATED *** PEPSI UPDATED *** PEPSI UPDATED ***

Ummm... You're BORED?  Well... let me help you with that:

ABOVE:  sorted.
I'm not nice, I know.  But, she ain't bored right now ...

♪ dumm ♪ dee ♪ doooo ♪...

Stew came home, picked up Lacy, then a hire trailer and went over to pick up THE LAST of her gear ... a Housing NZ bloke met them at the house.. and just our luck...  almost EVERYTHING was gone.  She only found her bedroom chest of drawers left.
So... that means she has NONE of the baby clothes/blankets/bottles etc that she had collected.
All the baby stuff I had bought for her... GONE.
And No bed either.

Not very happy now.

AND onward... we can give her one of our spare beds, and it won't take long to gather up essential baby clothes/nappies/blankets and so on ... I'm sure we have friends with a baby girl who can slip us a few bits 'n' bobs. And let's not forget the Hospice Shop!   I can buy more stuff there too.

So... it's not the end of the world.  Just another trailer hire for nothing.  *sigh*  You gotta laugh... or else you would stamp your feet!

Thank you TRACY, I will go through what she does have and let you know ... it's very kind of you to offer stuff to her.

I have the BEST FRIENDS EVER!

LYNISE has just offered us all of her baby Annalia's stuff that she has outgrown!  AND a car capsule too!  OMG I can't get over how generous that is Lynise. THANK YOU.

LYNDA: thanks too!

End of Day: I find it facinating how over the course of a day we can go from OK... to annoyed and upset... to thrilled to bits!  Life eh?  Up's and down's.... and the down's make the up's so much nicer.  Thanks to everyone who has offered to help Lacy.  She really appreciates it.
ON TRACK: yep.... had a lovely dinner of beef and tomato homemade pie.

CAMERA HAVING A HISSY FIT

Yesterday my camera decided to have a hissy fit... and not flash when I wanted it to.
And as I use the flash A LOT... it was really pissing me off.
So ...I dicked around with the settings... and somehow got it to flash again...

so I took some photos... as ya do...

ABOVE:  I annoyed Lacy by taking photos of her in bed last night... and after several shots the flash finally kicked in.   She wasn't impressed.

ABOVE: then I went outside and got a nice shot of one of me buoys.... ignore the cobwebs... we've got lots of them here.

ABOVE: and this is me First Aide box... and I rifled through it last night looking for something to help me get through the night... I ran out of the Gees Linctus cough medicine I had been using... which is about the best cough medicine I have ever used.  Shame it hasn't stop me coughing this time around.

SPARKLING:  yes I will go and ask me Dr for something that will help... cos the last time I had the cough from hell... it lasted for weeks.

Today:  I want to do some housework... been sadly neglecting it these last few days... and dust NEVER SLEEPS.
Then we should pop out and buy a padlock to secure Lacy's stuff at the storage facility.  While it is fairly secure... her locker really should have a padlock on it.

After that.... not sure.

ABOVE:  I pinched this photo of our wee granddaughter Sienna off our son Russell's Facebook page.
I am so thankful that the internet enables us to keep up with Russell and his wee family.
Hopefully this coming Christmas we will finally get to actually meet his partner Tess and their children.  By then there will be another baby in their family too!

ONWARD...

Slept on the couch for the 4th night in a row.  Feeling like I could just sleep for days.
SPARKLING:  the pills did help thanks.

Just feeling blah...

*** PEPSI UPDATED *** PEPSI UPDATED *** PEPSI UPDATED

BUT.... It is only open to a very few readers now ... I have felt lately that my reader list on Pepsi needed to be culled... so now Pepsi is only open to a couple of girlfriends and family members.  My private life is going to now be just that.  PRIVATE.

I am today feeling INCREDIBLY pissed off that a comment someone made on MY blog has caused ripples through several blogs here in New Zealand.  And how come I feel GUILTY by association?  And have been made to feel like it's my fault?
I do not want comments about this.. I am NOT saying how I feel to GARNER comments either.  I just want it said.  ** J*****... recently you did SUGGEST that I only put certain stuff on here to get more comments did you not?  that is why I said the above.

CLEARLY I am too sensitive.   But, when I get a sick feeling in my gut... it cannot be ignored.

There is a double standard going on here in blogland...... seems what I say/do can be criticised, but god help me if I do the same.  Not that I do go around telling people their diets are crap, or what they are eating is too high in carbs or sugars....

I am now going to be THAT MUCH MORE CAREFUL what I publish on my blog, that is for sure.  FUCK THIS SHIT.

Deep breath... and I'm over it now.

I am ACTUALLY a bit cold today!  My hands and feet are cold... so I dug out me Ugg Boots... that I wear as slippers.  Nice and toasty now.

The family are all watching some 'shoot 'em up, bang bang' movie.

I'm thinking of going down to the garage to tidy it up... Steve is a PIG.   So is Griffin.
BOYS.....*sigh*

I am VERY proud of myself.  Today so far ... I have deleted more comments than I posted!  See... no more bitch fests.  Yeeeya.

End of Day: heading off to 'bed' shortly... but it will be the couch again for me as the moment my head hits the pillow I start coughing... and Stew needs his sleep.  So.. it's OK.. me and the couch are very good friends now.
ON TRACK: nah... me and jellybeans are good friends too.  Thanks Steve for giving me some jellybeans.

RESPECTING EVERYONE'S OPINIONS AND CHOICES

Yesterday's post here on Diet Coke Rocks caused a bit of a bitch fest.... here and on another person's blog.
I sure in hell did not INTEND for that to happen.

Everyone is ENTITLED to their opinions and choices... be it what they eat, their religious views, political views, what they wear .... hell just about everything we do is going to be in some way,  different from the next person... and so on.

Learning to respect that we are all individuals is what makes the world go around NICELY.

So... in respect of me and my blog... PLEASE direct any differing opinions you might have at the person you disagree with... on THEIR BLOG.  Leaving comments directed at someone else on MY BLOG is counter productive, and can cause drama that is unnecessary, both for me and the other person.

This is my blog... about my dramas!  Not anyone else's!  FOCUS PEOPLE.... you are reading DIET COKE ROCKS....   LOL

I  try not to advocate anything, or endorse anything....  And that will never change. But... I must say... DIET COKE ROCKS! *smiles*

Play nice.

Today:  well I really want it to be a nice day.  With no drama.

Lacy spent the night at a girlfriend's in Papakura... so Griffin got his old bed back for the night.
Talk about musical beds around here!

As Bex is here staying with Steve, Griffin was kicked out of the garage and had to sleep on an air bed in the 'gym room' on Thursday night.... not that he minds!  It's kinda fun apparently.

I think if it's a nice day we should go for a walk somewhere nice.... any suggestions?

AND NO HILLS... this tart does NOT DO HILLS....lol!

MARY H:  nope, I am not going to put the frogs photos on my sidebar....lol!  And same for grandkids... there is getting to be a lot of them! I can hardly believe we will have 10 grandkids by the end of July! I don't feel that old... *sniff*

ONWARD...

It's a late start for everyone this morning.
Lacy arrived home at 5.30 am.  Not that impressed.
I moved from my bed to the couch at 3am... and proceeded to cough and cough until I finally got up and gave in on sleep.

I'm still keen on a walk somewhere.... it is A GLORIOUS DAY!

Stew wants to get the lawns mown... so maybe after that?

MARIA: point taken.  Might I just say... until you walk in my shoes... you have no idea how you would react to certain situations.  I make no apologies for reacting how I do... it's just how I am.  And after all life has thrown at me, which I am sure you know nothing about... you cannot judge how/why I react like I do.  I am just one person, with faults and failings like everyone else.  And I am TRYING to moderate myself now days, as obviously my reactions annoy some people.  There is always that BIG FAT X top right if you or anyone else dislikes my blog. And this is not a knee jerk reaction to your comment, it was chewed over for a good HOUR at least!  *smiles*

Question:  does anyone know why my blog interface keep going to the new interface over and over again?   It takes me a while to get it to revert back to the old interface.... which I choose.  But then it up and goes back to the new one?  It's driving me mental.

OH... and I re-worded my Disclaimer a bit... to cover all the bases so to speak.

ONWARD....  IT'S GOING TO BE A BLOODY NICE DAY.

MARIA:  All good.... points taken.  And let me assure you I AM TRYING  very hard to not react so quickly or easily to 'stuff'.   It's hard though!

LYNDA:  *smiles*  off to add that snippet of info to my disclaimer!

Shit a brick... so it looks like I HAVE to use the new interface eventually.... so I have switched over now.  And I am bound to get all hot and bothered trying to find where everything is now.  Oh well... roll with the changes I suppose!

We decided to go out to Maraetai for lunch and a walk....

ABOVE: hot chips at the beach....

ABOVE:  Griffin up a tree... it was about here that I realised the flash on my camera had stopped working.  Drat... will need to get that fixed asap...

ABOVE:  walking around the waterfront...

ABOVE:  there were lots of wee birds in the Toi... but most of them flew away when we stopped to take a photo.

ABOVE:  I love love love that huge metal buoy...

ABOVE: checking out another little pier in the next beach over from Maraetai.  Been there, done that.
Home now... and tired as... this not sleeping due to the cough from hell is not fun.

End of Day:  thanks for the tip Sparkling.... and MaryH.. yes people do fish off the pier.
ON TRACK:  why yes!  I was saying to Stew just today how good I am feeling about my portion sizes... I have finally found that keeping portion size on the 'light' side is really much better, you don't get that STUFFED feeling, and you actually enjoy the meal much more.
nite nite.

LE LAMB CASSEROLE WITH...

LYNDA:  as requested.... here is my 'recipe' for Lamb Chops done in Thick Mint Sauce:

Put your lamb chops/shanks/roast in a casserole dish, add whatever veges you want.  I usually add chopped up onion, potatoes and carrots.  Then pour one or two bottles of Whitlock's Thick Mint Sauce over the lot (depending on how much meat you have) ... add a sprinkle of salt and put in the oven at about 210 degrees Celcius for at least 2 hours.  *Check every so often to make sure it's not burning or running out of fluid*, add a bit of water if it needs more fluid.

When the meat is literally falling off the bones, thicken with cornflour, or whatever you are used to using.
DONE.

Serve with fresh veges on the side.

Today: Lacy has her Glucose Tolerance Test at 9am... Bex is taking her and staying with her for the 2-3 hours it will take.
Stew is returning the furniture trailer.
The kids and I?  Staying home and doing housework I suppose.  What fun.

Maybe later on Stew and I will get to spend some time together?  It would be nice.

ONWARD...

Stew had an easy run into town to return the trailer this morning... which was great as he got it back within the 24 hours, so we didn't have to pay for extra time.  This little venture to collect Lacy's furniture has cost several hundred dollars!

Sore throat... is not as sore now ... but now I have the cough, cough, cough.  Spent part of the night on the couch so I wouldn't keep Stew awake .... So tired! Three nights with broken sleep now.

And it's NOT helped by Brylee screaming at Griffin first thing in the morning... I swear that little shit deliberately tries to wake me up.  Oh well... I get the last laugh... cos now she gets to go to bed straight after dinner.  Yeah yaaaa.

LYNDA:  Luckily for US, we are not trying to eliminate carbs  to the degree you are.  We like our food to be tasty, nutritious and balanced.  I will not eliminate something just because of it's carb/sugar content... as long as we keep our portions modest, we feel we can eat ANYTHING. Even a few JELLYBEANS.

Stew and I decided to leave the kids with Lacy and Bex and go out for lunch.  So we had a lovely lunch down at Mission Bay... the weather is glorious today... so we sat outside with our seafood chowder, followed by a really yummy pizza.

Almost home and I get a call from Lacy.
She had left her bedroom furniture and all her baby clothes, blankets etc in a house in Henderson prior to moving into the motor camp... and Housing NZ wanted her to go and collect it by 3.30 TODAY.

So poor Stew had to jump in my Highlander, go down the road and hire ANOTHER TRAILER to drive all the way over to Hendeson RIGHT NOW to get yet more of Lacy's stuff.

I feel like screaming!  What the hell else are we gunna have to do for her?
No wonder she wanted to come home.... so WE get to do all the bloody running around FOR HER.
And when you read this Lacy... you better not pack a shit, cos I'm already mad as hell.

How many of you have noticed the inclusions/ rearrangement of my side bar????

So.. Stew, Lacy and Bex are over in Henderson, at some random house where Lacy's stuff is locked in the garage.  And they don't have the key.... next thing... Lacy has to ring Housing NZ again... to get them to come and unlock the garage.... so they wait.... to see if they will come and do it.
And it's getting dark...

Just got a text from Bex.  Seems Housing NZ will not come out... UNTIL MONDAY now.
So Stew hired a trailer and drove over to Henderson FOR NOTHING.  He is beyond livid.  Now he has to drive all the way back in Friday night rush hour traffic and return the trailer we didn't need afterall.  And Pay for it and the petrol.

PENNY:  I'm not 100% sure who stuffed up this afternoon, Lacy or Housing NZ.  But no matter who... it still cost US.

***Apparently the Housing NZ man said he would meet them at the house at 3.30.  So, my lot got there at 3.40... after ringing and leaving a message saying they were running 10 mins late (which is quite normal for Auckland roads).  And Stew, Lacy and Bex  ( aka : my lot) arrived and waited, and waited, and waited... NO Housing NZ man turned up.
'My lot' spoke to a man across the road who was working out the front of his house, and he said NO ONE had been at the house at all this afternoon except  them!

So... my lot rang him again... and he LIED through his teeth and said he was there at 3.30 and when my lot didn't turn up he left!!! What a BLOODY LIAR.  Fuck I hate Liars.

Anyway, now they are meeting him there on MONDAY afternoon... and Stew is going to bill Housing NZ for the trailer hire and 80 km round trip they did TODAY for NOTHING... and write a letter of complaint to Housing NZ about that man who LIED.

I almost feel sorry for the guy, Stew can get VERY ANGRY when he's provoked!

End of Day:  nothing else is going to happen today... except I'm gunna have a tipple or two!
ON TRACK:  yes.  Everything in moderation.
nite nite!

PEACE WILL REIGN TODAY

After such a busy day yesterday... today should be peaceful!
ABOVE:  damaged tyre.  Riveting photo.. I know!

Stew, Steve and Lacy are leaving bright and early this morning... cos they have to get the spare tyre fixed before they head up to Kerikeri to pick up the bulk of Lacy's furniture.

All going well, they will be home again sometime tonight.

Now... Lacy had her 28 week growth scan yesterday.
There had been concern about the size of her baby... in that she was too small.

Lacy had some blood tests on Monday.  They were checking her for gestational diabetes.  Her blood test came back a bit high.

And the scan now shows Miss Muppet is above average for size!!!  Not alarmingly, she's on the 63% percentile.  So Lacy has to have another series of blood tests asap (most likely Friday)... to check for gestational diabetes again to made a definitive diagnosis.

Today the kids and I will hang out at home... I think I will get some blog reading done even!
All going well.

Cos lately... anything can come along to stuff up me day and plans.

Hell... I might even get in the spa pool and chill out for a while!

ONWARD...

Plans are awash.
The damaged tyre cannot be repaired.  So right now they are driving around looking for a new tyre.. which is proving difficult as it's an 'uncommon' tyre.
So much for today being peaceful.

OH and I've almost lost me voice... the kids are arguing and I can't yell at them.  Oh yaaaaa.

Yaaaa... they finally found a tyre in Newmarket... and have just picked up the trailer and are heading up north now.  ONLY 45 minutes behind schedule... fingers crossed the rest of the trip/day goes according to plan.

I've been washing a few windows... trying to keep my hands busy ...

LYNISE:  yep... I know her Glucose Tolerance test will take ages!  If you thought carrying Annalia was hard... imagine how I felt with Steve (10 pound 12 ounces) and Mike (10 pound 4 ounces)!!!  AND I had no C-Section.
The 'damage' from their births was finally fixed 4 years ago when I had that big operation to remove uterus, and fix all the 'problems' down there!  At least I finally got a new va-ja-ja out of it all... ha ha ha!

FINALLY:  stood on scales after being totally slack for the past two months.
I have lost 2.2 kilos since the last time I stood on dem scales.  I'm rather surprised!  But, all good.

I've heard from them travelling north... all is going well.

ABOVE:  yaaaa, look who arrived today for a few days... Bex.  She is now in the process of cleaning some more windows for me.

I heard from the 'travellers'... they managed to fit all of Lacy's furniture and household effects into the furniture trailer/inside our Highlander and on the roof rack ... JUST.  It sounds like it was a bit of a mission.  I'm glad they got it all though.... now when she gets her own place to live she will be set up with all the necessary stuff.

Stew said they were going to swing by Paihia too, as Steve has never been there.  So, Bex and I don't expect them home until fairly late.
I'm gunna have a nice dinner waiting for them.

Lamb chops slowly cooked in thick mint sauce.  They will love that.

Steve sent me the following picture and a text saying they were "cutting it fine" as they came into Whangarei!!!  OMG... NO GAS....

ABOVE: that zero means you can travel O km's on what's left in your petrol tank!  Seems it lies, cos apparently they travelled for a while on O!

IDIOTS!  Lucky they got there before running out completely.

7.45pm:  The 'travellers' are back in Auckland, busy unloading Lacy's gear into the storage facility in Botany... then they will be home for dinner... which is good cos Griffin is about ready to start gnawing his own arm with hunger... he is always hungry that kid!

MARY H: thanks for that!  My darling man should be in the 'line up'... FOR SURE!

End of Day:  family travellers home safe.  Dinner... yum....everyone tired and a bit grumpy.
ON TRACK:  nooooo, had a creme egg that Bex gave me!

ANOTHER BUSY DAY AHEAD

First thing on the agenda today:
Pick up medications for Lacy.

Then... we will head over to a local storage facility and sort out a secure shed for Lacy's furniture... which Stew, Steve and Lacy are picking up tomorrow from Kerikeri.

After that we will head over to Henderson for lunch, and then it should be time for Lacy's 28 week scan.
That should be nice.... to see Miss Muppet... and make sure she is growing well.

Going by the look of Lacy's tummy, Miss Muppet has grow heaps in the past month or so!
Unfortunately, I still have a sore throat... so if it's no better by the end of the day I will make a Dr's appointment.  I feel really crappy.... and I am bound to start getting CRABBY if it drags on. No one likes me crabby... funny that!  lol

ONWARD...

First boo boo of the day:

ABOVE:  I washed the pill splitter so I could split some parafast pills.... and I DIDN'T know there was a razor blade there eh?  So... I ran the top of my finger over it... drying it ... and FUCK!!!  Sliced the top of my finger  ... OMG that hurt!  Not impressed.

We got the key to Lacy's storage locker... so that is sorted.
Came home and had lunch, then left at 12.30 for Lacy's scan over in Henderson.  After that we are  picking up her remaining property from the motor camp in Ranui.

6.35 pm.... and we have been out ALL afternoon... did not think it would be dark before we got home when we left at lunchtime!

After the scan... we went to the Motor Camp where Lacy had been staying to pick up her kitchenware/cot and bassinette... BUT we had to wait over an hour before the manager arrived to get it out of storage.

THEN we left for home... BUT ... we got a flat tyre only a few minutes after leaving the motor camp... a dirty great nail was in me tyre.

Luckily we managed to pull into a service station (food and toilets available yaaaa).... and I was able to ring the AA to come and rescue us.

BUT I had to use Lacy's phone cos mine had packed a mental and wouldn't go!

So ... we waited an hour there until the AA service man arrived and changed me tyre (I didn't know how to) COS... I'm a girl!

After he had fixed me tyre, we left and got on the motorway.. which was totally gridlocked due to rush hour traffic AND an accident.

So ... we got off at Greenlane and met Stew for dinner at McDonalds.   Ewwww.... I had a chicken burger and it was yuk.

So, finally home and feeling mega CRABBY.
Glad I don't have to do ANYTHING tomorrow.

I will talk about the scan tomorrow.

My finger is throbbing too.  Which is making me even crabbier... if that is possible!

TRACY: I CAN do all those things, except change the tyre... I ain't done that in over 30 years!  BUT, as I had a nasty cut finger, and have been a member of AA for YEARS, I decided to let them fix it.  That's what we pay for after all.

End of Day:  some good things, some crappy things happened today.
On Track:  yes.  Amazingly.
nite nite
