I'M A BIT CRABBY

After events yesterday... and some things going on in the background... I'm feeling down.

I think Stew is too.

We are tired.  Tired of underlying ripples and deceit within the family.
 
Tired of being TIRED!
Does that even make sense?

I can't think of anything nice to blabber on about right now.  I don't even want to get out of bed.
The only reason I'm up is cos I needed a piddle.

If it wasn't for Stew, Steve, Bex, Dante, Mike, Joyce, Brylee and Griffin,  I would probably just damn well stay in bed all day.

Well... in fact I could stay here.... bloody anti-depressants ain't doing it for me today.

I got up at 10am.  Still feeling 'flat'... but I'm sure the day will get better.

Russ and Tess are due back today sometime, so I better sort out something for dinner I suppose.

What else?  We are thinking of going to the Clevedon markets.... and no one wants to go... so we stay home.

 ABOVE: Lacy and Keera came over to visit.

ABOVE:  I made cheese scones with jam and cream for lunch... it's a great way to feed a mob.  lol

 ABOVE:  Lacy got to cuddle Dante... which she loved.  Then I picked up Dante and put him in the bassinet with Keera... Bex was like "ummmm not too sure about that!"  And then she saw how darn cute they looked and relaxed a bit:

ABOVE:  Stew cooked dinner, we had roast chicken, potatoe salad, lettuce salad, eggs, tomatoes, cucumber in vinegar, baby beetroot ... OMG it was so nice.  

The left over chicken bones etc are going into a pot tomorrow to make a soup.  I've never done that before, so fingers crossed I can find a suitable recipe!  Bugger! Stew didn't listen to me and threw all the chicken bones and scraps in the bin.  At least I can now say he doesn't listen to me too... he's always moaning that I don't listen to HIM!  Right back at ya Stewy.

Our 'Aussy Family' are due back today, but I've not hear a word from them since the day they left.  Hmmmm... I just hope they've had dinner when they do finally arrive, cos we ate it all!

End of Day:  might go off to bed early tonight... rather tired and finding it hard to keep me eyes open!

Well I just got a delayed text from Russell, they are not going to be home tonight afterall.

ABOVE:  Dante 'enjoying' his bath last night! More often than not he actually loves it and goes to sleep in it.  Not last night though.

So... today.
I'm picking Miss Muppet up and taking her to spend 4.5 hours with her father.  It's starting to be a real annoyance, when what we all wanted to do today was go to the beach.
I'm hoping Stew and the others do go without me ... no point them staying home just because I have to be elsewhere.

PHOTOS:  The only way I can put photos on my blog right now (and I have no idea WHY) is to transfer them to Picasa, then upload them from there to my blog.  The problem I had today was the 'albums' on Picasa were marked 'Private'... so I had to go and remark them 'Public on the Web'.
SO, has anyone else had to do the Picasa thing to get photos on your blog?

The access visit with Keera went very well.  She was a perfect angel... and Mike, Joyce and I played cards until the end of the visit, then dropped Keera off at Lacy's and came home.


NOW we are going to the beach for a swim and fish 'n' chips for dinner... on the beach.  Cool!

To 'whoever' this may apply to:  Never Bite The Hand That Feeds You... or drives fair across the city and has to sit for HOURS in a stranger's house, when it's the LAST thing I want to be doing on a gorgeous summer's day.

 ABOVE: I took this photo when there was a cloud passing over, believe me it was HOT on the beach!  Masses of people either end of the beach, but not too many where we were.

ABOVE:  these two were starving by the time we got to the beach, so they got some hot chips.  I had a few too... it was a very late 'brunch' for me.
Whoops.  Probably should not do that too often, I'd taken my Metformin on an empty stomach a few hours earlier.  Naughty.

 ABOVE: Mike had not been to a beach in a couple of years!  He had a quick swim, but found it a bit cold... what a silly la la!
I got in!  In all me clothes!  I didn't want to expose the bod on a public beach!

ABOVE:  darling wee baby girl, only just walking ... left to toddle in the water while her mother and friends hung around by their car, which was a good distance away.  If baby had fallen face first into the water the parent would not have gotten to her before she had taken in a lot of water!  We were not impressed.  One member of the public pulled her out of the water and was looking around for her parent.... and the mother just yelled "she's alright"!  Some people don't deserve to have babies.

Me and Stew = NONE.   ha ha ha!  As if I'd play with a toy gun!  I've got SLUG PISTOLS!  ha ha ha.

As we didn't have 'dinner' down by the sea, Stew's gone to get Chinese instead.  Yum Yum.

End of .... a bloody shitty day, with only a small amount of enjoyment thrown in at the end... being utterly truthful!

DANTE ...

Our youngest grandson is growing!  It is almost 3 weeks since he was born!  Wow, those weeks have gone so fast....

Today I'm going to relax and spend some time with the kids.... hopefully it's a nice day and we can get out the waterslide for them?
It's one that you lie on the ground and run and slide on... it's still in it's box!

Also today, I think the girls and I will have a go at making Cake Pops!  I have everything we need, just have not found the right time to give it a go yet... maybe today will be the day!
I am dreaming of making lots of the little cakes and seeing if I can 'construct' a larger cake with them?

Who knows... worth a try anyway.

Joyce has a nickname finally... Sookie La La!  She can't stand baby poop, baby dribbles, spiders... and no doubt a whole list of other things!
I have given Lacy, Bex and Kelly 'nicknames' too... but they are a bit harder to explain... so I won't 'go' there!  *smiles*

It's going to be a nice day, I just know it... 

ONWARD...

It's a stunning day... perfect for getting all the washing done... and for the kids to have some fun.

So... our 'stunning' day has gone to shit.  Cold wind, showers... bla bla bla.
An inside day today... I want to go down to the mall shortly and copy my camera cards to disc... running out of room to take more photos!  DISASTROUS!

FINALLY got all the camera card data copied to discs... now I can relax and take a million more photos!
*smiles*
Feeling tired today, just worn out I think.
We are opting for a 'left overs, or baked beans on toast' dinner tonight!
In the past month we have only had two takeaway dinners I think... so time for a break.

Is anyone else finding it impossible to upload photos today?

AUSSY FAMILY TAKE OFF FOR A FEW DAYS

Well... today Russ, Tess, Joshua, Haylea, Sienna and Bodhi go up to Whitianga for three days.

As that is where Joshua lives, he will go back to his Mum's house when Russ and Tess come back here.

So... things will be a bit quieter around here for a few days.

ABOVE:  Miss Sienna loves her shoes... she loves her shoes so much she slept with them yesterday.

I'm going to miss her cute antics while they are away.  But I don't think I will miss her temper tantrums.
She's entered the Terrible Two's a bit early, and is quite a handful. 

Our plans for the day?  Well I'd like to go out SOMEWHERE... so might give it some thought ... maybe a picnic at the beach?  Wonder if I can tempt Bex and Steve to take baby Dante out?

ONWARD...

MARIA:  YEP, we had already thought of that.  WHEN they get up outta bed we will see what they want to do.

Yaaa... we are ALL off to the Outlet Shops in Onehunga.  Time to get outta the house for a little while... even though it's not going to be the picnic I would have liked, it's still going out.  It's a cloudy, overcast wet day...

 ABOVE:  gorgeous Bodhi, I'm sure he's grown heaps since they arrived 4 weeks ago!  He didn't have any teeth when they arrived, now he has TWO... AND he can roll over now too.

 ABOVE:  Coco checking out Dante, all was going well until Dante moved his arm and touched Coco on the head... that was enough for Coco!  That little human thing was a bit of a worry.

 ABOVE:  doesn't our girl look fantastic only two and a half weeks after having a baby!  She is doing well.
AND I might add... she is eating really well too... with lots of lollies, biscuits and nuts thrown in for good measure.

After braving the crowds at Dress Mart, we headed off to Sylvia Park for lunch.

 ABOVE:  No problem getting a park today.

ABOVE:  Mike loved these t-shirts, but at $60 a pop, he didn't get any, but did want me to take a photo of them so he can get them replicated down in Palmy.

BEC:  I sold it before we came up here... couldn't imagine riding a scooter in Auckland traffic!

I found something out this afternoon that sent me into a big downer... I was really, really upset so took myself off to my room to try and calm down.  Some people just take the cake... *shaking head*.   Feeling like I've been kicked in the teeth. 

But... in a while it will not matter... I just have to accept some things will happen that I don't like... and move on. 

You have gotta know PEPSI has been updated eh?

HOPING TODAY IS A GOOD ONE FOR EVERYONE

 ABOVE:  she wanted to get in the baby's bouncer... so she did.  I kept expecting it to collapse under her... she's a rather 'bonny' little girl after all.  But it didn't.  Luckily.

ABOVE: then she got crabby 'cos she wanted the 'thingee' clipped on...

ABOVE: once her Mum did that... she was delighted with herself.  So. Damn. Cute.

Right... enough of our little madam... back to TODAY:

No plans.  How many days have I been saying that?
But... how can you make plans with all these crazy people in the house!  We love just going with the flow for now.
It suits us. And it suits everyone else too.

Once Dante is a wee bit older we will look at some day trips out with Brylee and Griffin.  But for now, we feel happy just being here and making sure everyone is well and happy.

Well... as happy as can be with me being a prize pratt sometimes, putting me foot in me mouth... bla bla bla.

Gotta go... needs must... wanna pee REAL BAD... lol.

Bex and Steve are not that impressed with their wee man today.  Seems their darling wee Dante kept them awake almost all night crying!  WOW, I didn't hear a thing.  This is GOOD... *smiles*

 ABOVE: awww... how could anyone feel crabby about this wee darling?  Sleeping soundly now.  hee hee.

ABOVE:  BLOODY NERF guns!  We must have a dozen of them in this house... you never know when you could get shot!  Luckily the 'darts' are soft.

I just had a nana nap... OMG it was nice too.  These long hot days are draining ... though today is rather a nice day, we have a coolish wind which is making the heat more tolerable.
